Wendy’s sister Joanne Pope and her husband Tommy Pope, joined us for a week in Aruba, their second vacation on Worldwide Traveler

June 17, 2008, Aruba - What started out as an ordinary week quickly turned into a very unusual week: Timbaland, record producer and singer, was marrying record exec Monique Idlett at The Renaissance Hotel/Marina where we were staying. In between the usual vacation adventures (swimming at “Baby Beach” on the southern tip of Aruba, watching kite boarders soar 30’ into the air, and snorkeling with Yellow Tipped Butterfly Fish and French Angelfish) Joanne and Wendy became experts on “The Wedding”. They watched flower designers from L.A. create bouquets for the bridesmaids and observed the transformation of Renaissance Island into a Hollywood wedding set, then met Jerome, one of Timbaland’s closest friends. Lee and Tommy showed infinite patience with Joanne and Wendy, the wedding stalkers.
