GREETINGS from Sue Hoyt and Her Mom
Visiting Worldwide Traveler in Isla Mujeres, Yucatan, Mexico

Close friend Sue Hoyt and her mother, Miriam Hallberg, were in nearby Cancun for a Family Wedding and joined us for a delightful, two day visit.

February, 2009 - By coincidence we happened to be in Isla Mujeres, Mexico at the same time that Lee's longtime friend Sue Hoyt and her mother Miriam were in Cancun, a 20-minute ferry ride away.  Sue, from Portland, Oregon, and Miriam, from Chicago, were in Cancun for a family wedding and scheduled in a couple of days to visit us.  In the short time that we had together in Isla, we had a wonderful and productive visit.  Sue brought with her a highly anticipated new computer for Lee.

Everyone should have a friend who is in their nineties.  Miriam is 94 years old and is proud of it!  We are in awe of this remarkable, intelligent, interesting woman who has managed to age in a way that we aspire to.  She was as physically agile and deft as any young person who has come on this boat!  We showed Sue and Miriam the island via a rental golf cart and had the opportunity to see and experience the bright colors and energetic sounds of Carnival, introduce them to our boating friends at Marina El Milagro, and enjoy delicious Mexican food at some great restaurants.  Sue will be returning to Worldwide Traveler with husband Brad in May, when we're in Roatan, Honduras.
